I Can't Make Myself Love You

Verse 1:
I can't make myself love you as I did once before.
And to know you still love me makes it hurt that much more.
Well, you may not believe me, but it's best his way for you
I know you don't want to leave me, but in time you'll love someone new.
Verse 2:
So, what am I to do if I no longer love you?
I know it wouldn't be fair if only one heart were there.
So, don't think your life is over just because of this thing
'Cause there's always a new clover with each new coming of spring.
Bridge:
And once I did love you gave you all that I had
I meant to spend my life with you that's what makes this so sad.
Verse 3:
I can't make myself love you as I did once before.
And to know you still love me makes it hurt that much more.
Well, you may not believe me, but it's best his way for you
I know you don't want to leave me, but in time you'll love someone new.
Verse 4:
So, what am I to do if I no longer love you?
I know it wouldn't be fair if only one heart were there.
So, don't think your life is over just because of this thing
'Cause there's always a new clover with each new coming of spring.
Coda:
I don't know what to tell you darlin'
People fall out of love just as easy as they fall in love.
Now don't blame yourself it just happens sometimes.
Now dry those tears, chin up, you'll get over it.
P.S. Don't forget to let the cat out.
